18Hz is the point when most human ears can no longer hear a sound. The bass vibrates so low, at such a long wavelength, that under all but the most ideal conditions, average human being cannot hear it.
Be aware! Anything in this range, the infrasound range, has the potential to be dangerous. It is not an exaggeration to state that at very low frequencies and very high powers major problems can occur, including bodily harm and destruction of property. Just tellin ya -- any bright ideas you get should be done in small improvements, with a wary eye toward not dying. This is not like the liability waiver you sign when you eat some retaurant's special chili -- we mean it. No warranty on anything you find here. You're responsible for any property you destroy or people that you harm. Don't scream to us when all breaks loose.
